On July 14, 2023, Yang Lin, the Director of the Comprehensive Office of the Housing Provident Fund Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, and two group members came to Ningbo to conduct a special survey on the physical examination and evaluation of housing provident fund, accompanied by Liang Hongwei, the Director of the Housing Provident Fund Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province, Yuan Bujun, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of Ningbo Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and Xu Zhiping, the Secretary of Party Branch and Director of Ningbo Provident Fund Management Center.

Firstly, Director Yang Lin and his research team visited the Ningbo Administrative Service Center on site. They inspected the service environment of the Center and got to know window service, and they also checked on the application and promotion of the APP of "National Housing Provident Fund". Moreover, they made face-to-face communication with window staff and citizens dealing with depository matters and listened to their opinions and suggestions on handling depository matters by cross provincial channels and other businesses.

Then, the research team listened to reports and the opinions and suggestions of the Housing Provident Fund Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo Provident Fund Management Center (hereinafter to be referred as the Center) on the development of the physical examination and evaluation of housing provident fund. Director Xu Zhiping of the Center reported on the progress of self-evaluation of physical examination for housing provident fund, mainly from three aspects: measures for physical examination evaluation, their viewpoints, and the following work plans.

Peng Xiaoying, Staff of the Housing Provident Fund Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province, made detailed report on the self-evaluation and re-evaluation housing provident fund physical examination evaluation in Zhejiang province, focusing on different aspects such as the unique practices, working mechanisms, re-evaluation organization, effectiveness, difficulties, opinions and suggestions and so on.

Director Yang Lin gave full affirmation to the physical check-up and assessment of housing provident fund in Zhejiang province and Ningbo. In her speech, she stressed that we should actively adapt to the new changes and new situations such as the current reduction of the working population the new trend of employment patterns, and the profound changes brought about by digitalization. Attention should be paid to further improve the crisis awareness, service awareness, business awareness, and platform awareness, based on the current situation of housing provident fund industry and those of the past years, targeting at the key work of the year, driven by the physical examination and evaluation work, we should make efforts together and succeed in conducting the physical examination and evaluation work. As the physical examination and evaluation of housing provident fund plays an positive role in standardizing management operations, improving internal control systems, preventing and controlling financial risks, and speeding up service efficiency, it would be sure to continuously promote the high-quality development of housing provident fund management.

At the research symposium, Deputy Director Yuan Bujun requested the Center to follow the work requirements and guidance of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China and of Zhejiang province, strengthen the organizational leadership of physical examination and evaluation work with a sense of mission and responsibility, summarize and extract good experience and practices, enhance work investigation and research, scientifically set indicator systems, reinforce problem rectification efforts, and strive to be driven by the digital reform of housing provident fund, directed at benefiting and facilitating the people, to better play the role of housing provident fund in housing security, housing leasing and other aspects, actively provide better service for more employees contributing to the housing provident fund, especially new citizens, young people and other groups, and solidly promote the management of housing provident fund to a new level.
